Presenting two weekly shows covering entertainment and lifestyle in the British Asian and the international market, Sheila’s strong linguistic (MA Linguistics), multicultural and educational background has enabled her to fuse together eastern and western content in an engaging, informative and unique way. Her fluency in five languages has made her an avid and adaptive communicator.
Sheila has also presented at a number of live corporate event ceremonies across the UK including the prestigious Hilton Park Lane with co-host, BBC’s Tommy Sandhu, as well as the Sheraton. In recent years, she has also presented at Silverstone for Formula One and The United Nations, as well as for Philips and law firm Reed Smith.
As a passionate educator and advocate of NLP, yoga and mindfulness, Sheila regularly presents to young children and teenagers, not only on educational content but also on motivational aspects including mental health and well-being. Holding a Masters in Reiki also means that her knowledge in the sector of wellness is vast. With a natural affinity for public speaking, over the past decade, she has worked with individuals to help them strengthen their communication skills, their confidence and overall vocal projection.
Sheila has a wide knowledge of music, having written and recorded several singles including ‘Smile’ which peaked at number 1 in the US Dance Billboard charts in May 2016. Having worked with a number of successful producers like Si Hulbert (One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber), Sheila has confidently gone on to interview music artists for DistroTV, also producing and presenting a short documentary in 2020 entitled ‘The Journey Of Brit Asian music.’ In 2018, Sheila wrote a song for the United Nations Refugee Crisis called ‘Home,’ which aired across a number of mainstream channels, helping to raise funds as well as awareness for the campaign. Sheila’s understanding of camera work is in-depth; she has combined her acting and presenting skills for international organisations such as Companies Talks, which focuses on business storytelling in the form of entertaining monologues.
Coming from a family of jewellers, hence with a natural love of jewellery, Sheila has much in the pipeline for 2022 including guest presenting for QVC. On her way to becoming GIA accredited as an Applied Jewellery Professional (AJP), Sheila hopes to do a lot more jewellery presenting.
